Since 2015, I have been running workshops for children, teens, and adults. I’ve conducted them in schools, high schools, youth centers, civic centers, and art schools. The main goal of these shared sessions is to help participants see drawing as a tool to express their ideas without fear or pressure.
We draw with music and inspired by music. We discuss my approach to drawing songs, as well as lettering and composition. We experiment with the texts we want to represent, treating them as an integral part of the drawing, and we play, because drawing is meant to be fun.
Many of the workshops I organize for young people incorporate a feminist perspective. We take inspiration from female role models, engage in discussions, and use illustration to address and represent situations of gender-based violence happening around us.
I adapt each workshop to the group, considering participants’ ages, the main theme, and the activity’s duration. I also offer talks about my journey as an illustrator and writer, sharing my experiences and the lessons I’ve learned. Additionally, I host more focused discussions about my books, covering the creative process, interesting anecdotes, and the themes explored.
Currently, I’m teaching the annual Creative Illustration Course in Girona.
If you’re interested in organizing a workshop or talk at your center, feel free to contact me, and let’s discuss it!
